Was this good? Depending on how you define it, but not really. But was it fun? It was a little break for my brain and I enjoyed it. I especially appreciated that the main character was not a virginal little girl, and some of the other icky romantasy power dynamics this story managed to avoid. There was a lot of interesting things at the core behind the so-so writing and the story and characters were engaging. I'm curious to see what else this author does and how she improves!

I gave in to tiktok to see what the hype around this book was about and I wasn't disappointed. I found Keera to be fascinating, there are so many layers to her and her story and I bet there is more to come. She has been through a lot and now is taking her power back, she is badass!
