sweet short read. Ari needed some growing up. the relationship between the mcs felt slightly too fast.  but overall a nice read.

Bloom was easy and fast to read and definitely had some cute, emotional moments I enjoyed but in total there were just too many characters and relationships that I disliked (toxic dynamics). I also felt like many changes in the relationships between the characters or to their personality just happened without any real development on page. I would have loved to see them go through the processes that led to their changes of mind. Some strings of the story also felt a bit forgotten/unfinished.

This was a fun read! The MC got on my nerves at times but it was fun to watch Ari grow. I loved the coloring, monochrome with shades of blue. It was interesting to see how the artist played with the shades to bring out the moods of each scenes. The characters had really nice expressions too! Ari's face was always so cute! Oh and I loved the cameo of
Victor and Yuri! It was so great to see them! Completelyunexpected but a wonderful suprise!
I also felt like the style had Manga vibes, the use of flowers around certain panels immediately made me think of shojo Mangas!

I would’ve given this 2.75 stars or lower if it hadn’t been for the ending and the kiss tbh. The writing could’ve been done better and the character development was lacking, but it was a cute, lighthearted story and a fast read so it wasn’t too bad. Good for a mindless read.

“I would love to have something like that... To be on a team with someone... and to be better together than you ever could be alone.”

Tropes: Workplace, Baking, Friends to Lovers
Representation: Queer (M/M relationship), POC
CW: Death of a Grandparent, Fire, Toxic Friendship

This was such a sweet read. It reminded me a lot of Heartstopper if it were set in a bakery—just two soft boys becoming friends and falling in love. I loved the character growth, and the Maryland setting was a definite bonus.

I liked it and I understand it's a graphic novel, but it moved a too quickly for me. So much so that I found it hard to follow because the drawings seemed to move from one scene to another so quickly. I would still recommend it to anyone interested in a queer baking graphic novel though. Loved the story, just wish it was more thorough.
