This is the best so far in this lighthearted mystery series.

Georgia heads to Transylvania at the request of the Queen.

I do enjoy the sassiness.

What's up with Darcy?

I still love Georgie--and oh, the addition of the hapless maid Queenie is such a delight!--but I didn't enjoy this installment as much as the others. The setting (a spoooooky Transylvania castle) and characters felt cartoonish, a real departure from the very real Depression-era England of the previous three books. Still, I read it in a night and enjoyed myself.

Vampires and political intrigue in Vlad Dracula's castle during a royal wedding. And Georgie has a new maid, Queenie, who is more clumsy than even herself.

Royal Blood was a nice light diversion. I gave it a higher ranking than it probably deserved, but I just can't help but like the main character. Overall, she's entertaining and smarter than what the author made her seem this time. Who really believes in vampires? Anyway - a fun series to read.

Katherine Kellgren (the narrator for this audiobook) is EVERYTHING.

This was a fun little (not great, but that's OK) mystery/romance where Georgie wasn't infuriatingly stupid. But honestly, it was all of the non-Georgie characters that I'm here for, and maybe I'm also laughing re: Fish-Face.

Another solid entry in this series. Ok, more than a little willing suspension of disbelief requried to believe a royal, no matter how minor, would do any of this... but that's what makes it delightful to the modern reader, I expect.

Short Review: Georgie goes to Transylvania for a wedding, and surprise, people end up dead and Georgie needs to solve the murder. I thought this was better than the third book in the series. Darcy (like book 5) was hardly in the book, which I think was good, it established Georgie as a detective in her own right. I continue to enjoy the series.

These seem to perpetually be about 3.5 stars for me. On the one hand, I've read four books in the series so far and I find them light, fun, quick reads. On the other, I always seem to want just a bit more. More tension, more jokes, more social commentary, more something. They never quite fully satisfy.

Georgiana gets invited to a royal wedding in Romania. Darcy, Belinda, and her mother all make appearances. Someone ends up dead and Georgie investigates.

These aren't that great but entertaining, clean, and quick enough to keep reading. The repetition and predictability gets old. I guess I am a sucker for the romance, which surprises even me.
