Really should probably be 4.5 stars. Definitely a solid second book for this author. Crazy story and kept me turning the pages.

This book has an X- Files feel to it so I would think if you like the X-Files this should be enjoyable for you! It's honestly hard to put into words what my opinion is on this book. I started May 9th and finished May 10th so that says it's a good listen, easy to keep at it. Theo is an odd character and he proves that throughout the book. Not that this is a bad thing, it almost highlights the reclusive nature of most scientist. Of course the actual science in the book has got to mostly be science fiction but no surprise there. The author has managed to make up various scientific "facts" to fit his narrative that sounds overall reasonable and rational to the untrained eye. Now I'm just rambling, read the book people!

Quick and enjoyable

Absolute page turner. Seemed to be a shorter story than book 1; but not less interesting. No shortage of stunning methods for finding the bad guys!!

One of the bedt series I've read

Theo Cray is a scientist. Facts are the only thing he respects, which in this world, is refreshing. Emotions, politics, and power games don't interest him, but justice does. If you like Orphan X, try this series. The amount of detail and information add a depth to the novels that I love. I'll be checking out the rest of Mr. Mayne's books.

4.5/5 ⭐️ Do końca myślałam, że druga część serii Naturalista będzie lepsza niż pierwsza. Charakter Theo przeszedł sporą przemianę i został rozbudowany.

Not as good as The Naturalist. I still really like the protagonist, but the plot of Looking Glass lost the gritty, science-driven crime novel feel and replaced it with a glitzed up CIA conspiracy theory line. Still a page turner, but with a much different feel than the first.
