I really wanted to enjoy this. I read the other two books in the trilogy and while they were a little corny, the romance and the story were good. This felt like a John Wick plot written by someone who’s only even seen a trailer. The insta-love and other tropes in the book just felt soooo heavy-handed. I’ve also never been so turned off by a sexy scene. The verbiage used was just wild to me. I’m glad I got to finish the series- especially since I really do recommend the first two. Maybe just skip this one if you prefer your romance reads on the more mature side.

4.5/5 Stars!
I have been waiting on this couple's happily ever what feels like forever! I am so happy to see this story through. I'm so happy that these characters have a mixture of feelings from their 'old selves' present throughout this love story. I love seen the similarities and struggles we saw through the first story reaper. I think they stayed true to their characters, yet it was a completely different love story. I think the ending was so perfect and spot on. Adam deserved some time to shine, and Naya stayed true to her sweet self being happy for his success. I'm a little sad to see all these characters go.
What to expect:
Romantasy
Fated Mates
Slow burn

I enjoyed this book but wasn't a fan on how it ended. Angels are supposed to be saint-like beings (at least how they were painted in the first book, not so much in the second book). In order to gain features to ascend to Elysium the fletchlings need to do good deeds. However once they get to Elysium it seems like they can do whatever they want without consequence. So the big problem I have with the book is why are some of the angels still able to be angels when they are clearly bad? It seemed like the book ended with a lot of political restructuring going on, so I would like to see how everything gets resolved on that end as well.
Also Adam is such a boring character (IMO)....
