This series has a serious chokehold on me. I’m seriously OBSESSED. I’ve never read anything like it and I’ll probably never be able to read another Angel book/series ever again that lives up to Angels of Elysium. That being said, I’m not sure how I’m going to write this review without giving away all the spoilers but I’m going to give it a shot…
“I adore you, Adam no-last-name, grumpy-most-of-the-time, romantic-the-rest-of-the-time. My first. My last. My everything.”
Starlight picks up 5 years after the epilogue in Celestial. We have already met Naya, Asher’s daughter, and she’s 18 now and only about 60 feathers away from her ascension to Elysium. A record in their world to getting 1000 feathers in just a mere 5 years.
“You’re blinding me, Feather.”
She takes on her sinner in London where she runs into Adam, resident bad boy fletching whom her father has kept her far away from. Once they’ve met, they can’t seem to stay away from each other. It seems there are many secrets that not only the fletchings hold close in their secret guardian Angel missions, but the ascended as well. Will keeping these secrets cost Naya, Adam, or both their feathers?
“The most fitting nickname to encompass all that you are, Naya, is Feather.”

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and ADORE this series. It was the perfect ending and I just love these characters and this world so much. Like all of Olivia Wildenstein's series, I wish there was an offshoot series!! Loved it and highly recommend this series.

SATISFYING CONCLUSION.

I have really enjoyed this series. I read it over a month which is unusually fast for me to binge a completed trilogy. While there are some magical system gaps and I still have questions about world building, I had SUCH A GOOD TIME with the stories. It’s intense, and romantic and swoony and all the things.
Naya and Adam’s story has been a long time coming and I love the slow burn edge this book took. There’s a really good build up and I loooove Adam’s alpha side. I can’t help myself. Naya is a strong FMC and if you’re looking for a darker vibe, this book has it. The plot is dark and full of shocking things and it often kept me on the edge of my seat.
This feels like an underrated paranormal romance series. I am so happy I took the chance on it and for someone who’s not usually a paranormal fan this checked off many of my boxes. And they’re fantastic on audio!!
Overall audience notes:
- Paranormal Romance
- Language: strong
- Romance: 3-4 open door; high explicit
- Violence: high
- Trigger/Content Warnings: loss of life, kidnapping, medical experimentation, murder, high blood/gore depiction, physical and weapons violence
