Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It was great to see some crossover with one of her other series. The crossover was very well done. You would only catch it if you read this other series, but at the same time there were no spoilers neither was it necessary to this book to have read the other. I took a star off because it was a little too insta-love for me. I didn’t really feel the relationship building. Also, I prefer more drama and angst in my books, but that’s just a personal preference.

An epic conclusion to the Roma Royals Duet!

Pasha and Zara return in book 2 with the knowledge that Lazlo was in fact alive and wanted Pasha to take the throne as the King of his people. Zara also didn’t give up looking for her missing friend Sarah (who’s actually Kezia, Pasha’s aunt) or the little boy she tried to help during one of her last emergency dispatch calls.

This book was packed with so much drama, suspense and uncertainty! Around every corner was a new dilemma or setback. But through it all, P & Z stayed honest with each other and remained side by side, battling as one. Their growing feelings for each other were so clear, despite the chaos they found themselves wading through.

The passion was SO HOT between the two main characters. Their chemistry was electric! The little bits and pieces of knowledge they learned about each other while at the same time, feeling like they’d known one another their whole lives was invigorating. Their relationship progressed very quickly, but it never felt like they were rushing things.

I absolutely loved the detail Callie Hart put into this duet regarding the Roma culture. You could tell that a lot of time and effort was put into getting the details right, which I appreciated as a reader! The glossary of terms was extremely helpful when reading this book as well!

I would love to see this turn into a trilogy, with a book highlighting a Roma wedding, the rule by King Rivin and little Pasha or Zara babies! ❤️

As a master storyteller Callie Hart ties everything so wonderfully together. Oh my heart, I kept glancing at the bar in worry cause I never wanted this duet to end.
Pasha and Firefly are so goddamn amazing, I can't recommend the duet enough.
Read it for them. For romance. For mysteries. For finding something unique and wonderful in New Adult genre

First off the opening words here were just so tragic, really hurting my heart with the hopelessness they projected.
So this is the second book in the series and book 1 needs to be read first and since it's been a while for me I did a reread just to refresh my memory somewhat.
This started off right where we left things previously and what I especially liked about this was the lack of game playing and artifice.
When it came to Pasha and Zara's connection there was just such an openness and ultimate honesty on both sides it was really refreshing.
Add into the mix their explosive chemistry and the filthy whispered promises and I was a complete gonna for them for sure.
This was again heavy on the suspense and intrigue and Pasha finds himself taking his firefly back to his roots to meet his kin and finally embracing his own foretold destiny.
This was gripping and suspenseful and ever so sexy the language used between Pasha and Zara was smoking and a bucket of water was needed after indulging.
There were shocks with a betrayal and a satisfying finale, highly recommend this series, it packs a serious punch and gets a big thumbs up from me.

I really liked this book! It was really different and entertaining. But there are some things that i don't understand, for example why did they dream with each other? or better, HOW?

Pasha's still mine. I'm not sharing. You can look, but you can't touch. I know that all of you will fall in love with him too, but I'm sorry, you're just gonna have to love him from afar. Callie Hart is constantly creating men to fill up my harem. I can't get enough of him and I never wanted to stop reading his story. He's a phenomenal character who deserved all of the good to be offered in this world.

This contradiction of a man shouldn't even be possible, like he's some sort of supernatural anomaly and I'm the luckiest person in the universe to be lying here, permitted to witness his unlikely existence even for a split second in time. - Zara

I love how the connection between Pasha and Zara only continued to deepen and grow. Their bond was strong enough to withstand just about everything. His family's dissent, the mystery and almost certain peril they faced, and the quickness of their love wouldn't stop them and I loved it.

"You feel like a constant. You're a song I've always known, I can hum you, the sound and the tone and the melody of you filling every single fiber of my being." - Zara

So a madman is making demands, forcing Pasha to face something he thought was in his past. Becoming King of his clan, Pasha isn't sure how the two lives, the Roma life and the life he shares with Zara, will work. Oh and catching the bad guy and saving lives is still a priority. Be prepared for the romance, the suspense, the intensity of the plot, and the heart. Because Pasha has got so much of that. His heart beat throughout this story and I can't wait for you to meet him!
adventurous dark emotional hopeful medium-paced

This is the second book in the Roma Royals duology and I really enjoyed the reading experience!
This follows Pasha - a Roma prince - and Zara - a dispatch call operator who has been brought into Pashas world when a little boy calls 911 asking for help.
This book takes off right where we left on which is really great and the pace was set from the start. At first I thought it was medium paced book, maybe a little slow, but actually in hindsight looking back on it I think it was kind of perfect for the story. Everything was in the right place, nothing felt too dragged out, nothing felt too quick. I think everything kind of got it’s right time.
There were definitely points throughout the reading where I was sat there like “oh my God oh my God what’s gonna happen” and definitely moments I felt my breath being held along with the characters. I had loads of theories to begin with, and more or adjusted ones as I read on and even in the end I still didn’t guess all the twists and turns so it keeps you guessing the whole time which is good and again works with the pace.
This is a dark romance story so there is a lot of steam too which I am a fan on. The sex scenes were definitely minimum 15 rating, leaning towards an 18. There is an undoubted amount of chemistry between Pasha and Zara that feels explosive even reading it.
The reason this isn’t 5 stars is because there were a few small points in the story that I felt were brushed over a little too conveniently but not enough to deter me from the overall story. However I do feel that I could happily read a third book in this series because I still feel there’s some story left for Pasha and Zara and the characters in their world.
