I have been so excited about this book since I saw it on Sarina Bowen’s World of True North list of books. LB Dunbar is THE QUEEN of over 40 romance! Jake didn’t live to annoy Rita until she staked her clim on the peach couch in the Busy Bean Cafe. It turns out the woman he antagonized was his new boss at Building Buddies. Their angst was kindling. Their chemistry explosive. When they both connect the dots and find out how their pasts were linked, it was a gasp out loud moment. And then plot twist. We find out who committed the crime Jake went to jail for and why Jake decided not to reveal this new information. Rita’s acceptance of Jake’s decision was not an easy one, but she believed in second chances in all forms. LB Dunbar writes over 40 romance with unparalleled talent.
