this didn’t wow me, though the majority of this book was perfectly pleasant (and a bit slow at times) 

many parts i loved, and many many parts made me go “really??” 

i’m not that well versed in greek mythology, so maybe that’s a prerequisite for really enjoying this book. though on that note, for much of the major greek mythology plot events in this story, Circe is on an island without any way of knowing what’s going on. essentially getting the spark notes update from some random god or passerby. this kind of makes things feel like a bunch of short stories. idk. 

psyched for the people who love this book, it just didn’t do much for me.
