This book isn’t the world we have, but it’s the world I want to be in. It was simple and sweet and I couldn’t ask for more. I was trying not to happy cry over it once I finished reading.

This book has been on my radar for a while and I'm glad I finally got around to reading it. Sir Violet is a knight who has to constantly visit a dragon living in a cave to retrieve whatever shiny object he has stolen from a villager. When the baker goes missing, Sir Violet's first suspect is the dragon. There is so much kindness and respect in this novella, and it is very inclusive and queer. I had a lot of fun with this mostly low stakes, cozy fantasy.

I liked this one! It was a great queer comfort read/cozy fantasy book. The ending was a bit simplistic, but it didn’t bother me too much. I loved how wholesome it was. I liked how an entire book focused on LGBTQ acceptance can have an aro ace MC, because I feel like it’s easy for a-spec people to be forgotten about in these discussions. There were also major trans and lesbian characters, which was also fun to see.

This was a wholesome and heartwarming story that read like a fairytale. I wasn’t expecting it to be funny but it really was!! I also loved Violet and his relationship with Snap.
