really enjoyed the dragon and the knight's duo dynamic and the fact that this just gave more proof that aroace characters are by far the FUNNIEST characters you could write. literally every one of knight violet's lines and reactions was hilarious.
A Book i didn‘t know I needed until I‘ve read it!

This is an extremely cute and adorable book featuring a diverse cast of characters varying in race, sexuality and gender. Everyone is on some level of queer and it is normalized. It's an easy simple read.

A very lovely low conflict fairy tale about acceptance of others as well as of own self. Sweet, cozy. Lovable characters who make mistakes but grow from them.

A quick, almost lighthearted story that deals with serious issues, set in a fantasy-esque echo of our world.
- the LGBT+ rep, which was abundant and felt natural
- Snap, because he was adorable and deserves all the mentions (and sheep bells)
- the small nod towards fairy tales not always having to end in a romantic kind of HEA
What I thought could have been better:
- the writing style felt a bit choppy sometimes
- I wish Violet's aroace identity and the issues he faces with that had a bit more of a solid role; the random flirting thing felt like just that: random
- the world building, particularly the setting, was a bit empty for me (though that might be because this is a novella)
Things that were fun, IMO:
- the overall theme of a knightwho is not really a knight and a kleptomaniac dragon teaming up together and becoming friends is just... yes.
- to share stories and information with everyone, the spiders built a web around the world; they made a world-wide web (excuse me while I laugh a little hysterically in the corner)
- Violet is this novella's version of Bilbo Baggins and you can't convince me otherwise
