great book! loved seeing how cadence’s mom and aunts lives during their teenage years.

both the first and second plot twists (harris not being carrie’s biological father and pfeff dying) were predictable to me but i still enjoyed reading them. however, i did not expect the third one (carrie actually being pfeff’s killer).

To say I had high expectations on this book is probably an understatement. I devoured the first book „We Were Liars“ in one night and it’s one of my favourite books. This one, however, I could not quite get into. I don‘t know what it was, but it didn‘t quite do it for me. The story was very predictable and there was no big plot twist. It did deal with some sensible topics and it did so in a good way. But yeah, probably my expectations were just over the top.
