Minor: Sexual assault

“No way out but through.”
If I’m honest, I went into this book not knowing what I was getting myself into. I read We Were Liars last month and I couldn’t tell you the plot at all, I just knew I enjoyed it at the time. I think the same happened with this book.
I enjoyed this book a lot more than the first book, because I think it was easier to follow. I loved the aspect of this storyline and I didn’t see the plot twist coming!
E. Lockhart very cleverly writes a story that tells you the plot twist and the ending of the book right at the beginning, but you don’t put it together until the end. And it’s both infuriating and thoroughly enjoyable!
I did really enjoy this book, and I loved the sisterhood aspect of the siblings. I definitely got a lot more hooked in the second half of the book and read it in one sitting!
4.25⭐️ I look forward to the next book (when it’s released!)

Edit: I read the summary, and holy crap. It really did get good after I stopped. Which kind of makes me regret my decision, but what the hell was that ending? Like, what? I'm not gonna pick up the book again just to read Carrie's thoughts, but it really was just getting good after I stopped. So if you're looking to pick up this book again, just be warned that it's really slow throughout the first half, but in the second half, it gets really really good.
