(Reread) One of my goals for 2024 is to finish out series that I own, the Shadow of the Fox series is one of them! So I had to do a quick reread of the first book to remember what happened 4 years ago when it first was published.

I don't have much to say on this besides it was enjoyable and fast-paced. I enjoyed my reread and I loved the characters.

It isn't anything over the top by any means. It's YA and reads like any YA from 2015-2019. However, I am still looking forward to continuing the trilogy.

<strong>Wow!</strong>

What an adventure! When I first started reading, I had trouble understanding why we met that first person but now that I've finished it makes more sense. Definitely need to read books 2 and 3 to see where the journey takes our characters next!

Look, was the writing amazing? No (i mean ‘violet orbs’ no thank u) but was it fun and angsty yes so slay
Also the graveyard scene was low key scary as shit

ngl though would have respected it more if u killed someone off in the final scene it felt a bit too perfect but that’s ok u have two more books to kill then off in xx

This was really fun! I don't have like deeper thoughts about this other than it was really fun and it's been a hot minute since I thought a YA book was fun. It's not the same in plot or tone or anything, but I think if you're a fan of anime like Inuyasha, I think you'd like this book. It's got similar vibes.

At the beginning, the start didn't get that fast to me. It was only around chapter 6 that I started to like it, but reading more of it made the difference. Never taught I will love this book like I do now! Also the ending! The ending was too satisfying to be true, it was the perfect scenario to read as my last pages. Will definitely jump onto book 2!
