While I didn't necessarily like the solution, I did very much enjoy the book. So much so that I can even see a theme! It's something to the effect of "just because something feels right doesn't mean it is right" or "look before you leap." I have already recommended this book to a few teachers for their students to enjoy.

I'm not sure where Skye is going with this series. It has interesting characters but the plot needs something. Not sure how many books he is planning on doing in this series, I hope it gets better.

I won a copy of Pillage from First Reads, and the author was nice enough to send me a copy of book 2, as well! Thanks, Obert Skye! You rock.

Beck hatches the last dragon stone, which contains a queen dragon. He is supposed to slay the dragon at birth, but decides to try to raise it on his own. Although the plot felt slightly thin at points (we didn't find out why the book is called Choke until the last 30 pages or so), I still liked it. I've been forced to choke down several classic books lately (no pun intended) and it was very refreshing to be able to read something fun again.

I can't wait to read book 3!

I still quite like this series. The characters haven't been developed over much yet, but the book is still a fun read. They throw in a lot of fun twists and turns and it keeps it interesting. I'm excited to read the last book in the series.

Was a good fast read, typical of a middle grade book. The main characters are witty enough to entertain me but some of the main characters antics are so embarrassing I had to close the book a couple of time. A good second book. Check my YouTube Chanel for my review, coming soon!

2020 Book Nerd Your Way Challenge... Book #49.
Finished with the EBN Challenge.

Young Beck is at it again. How much trouble can he get into this time. Caves and rain and a queen to contend with, what will our little hero do now? I like this book and the twist at the end was not really something I saw coming.

I didn't like this book as much as Obert Skye's other series, Leven Thumps, because i didn't like the characters in here.

The main reason I like this series is because it occasionally makes me laugh out loud. Beck is funny, I am glad I am not in charge of him. The books read really quickly. I am looking forward to the next adventure!
