This was by far my favorite of the Ravkan folk tales! It was beautiful and fierce, and I loved it.

Last of the companion folktales....this one goes with Ruin & Rising. I was not a fan....I didn't like the story, the characters, or the moral.

A lovely story and an easy read. Bardugo keeps surprising me with phenomenal writing talent. The descriptions of the river's behavior were magnificent, the story magical and the conclusion appropriate. I'm really happy Leigh provided us with the folktale collection. It's a great addition to this universe.

LOVED the ending. The rest was pretty standard (as was the point).

I still don't see how this is related to the series but I like this novella more than the others. It's not morbid though so that's nice.

She was terrifying in her beauty, bright like a devouring star.
