They're boring and kind of terrible. They deserve each other.
turner is one of the worst male leads of all of julia’s books that i’ve read so far
One of the clues of the treasure hunt leads Turner and Miranda to a hunting lodge on the property, and then a rainstorm starts, and they have to take refuge and, well … “isolated cabin in the woods” is a romance novel trope for good reason.

The least likable of any of the dozen or so Quinn books I’ve read. The male protagonist is horrible, and there’s never a redemption. He continues to be mean to her for the entire novel. A skip, imo. The rest of her men are much better 😂
he treats her with absolutely zero respect the entire book, never apologizes for it, & still gets a happy ending?? no thanks
The book was great although it was a little long, and I did get annoyed with the two main characters quite a bit. It was the typical she loves him, but he has serious issues from his past and can't love anyone story; however, I found myself annoyed with Miranda for constantly pursuing Turner instead of leaving him alone especially since she kept telling herself to stop pursuing him, and let him come to her. And I guess when she went to Scotland she did ignore him, and he did pursue her, but I felt like she made it too easy for him and took him back too quickly. Overall though it was a good book.
did not finish because nigel bevelstoke pissed me off :)
