Great to see all stories coming together, Elide, Manon and Dorian with Cochrans, Choal and Yrene and offcourse the court.
The cruelties Cairn performs are too much for me. Luckily having read 25% of the book, Aelin is freed. With a great role for Fenrys.
After help of the Little Folk it's out to war which is a very lengthy part of the book. I do like the great role the witches play and offcourse Manon and Dorian.
The part of traveling and war is another lengthy part of the book.
Oh yeah and sealing the wyrdstones and the destruction of Erawan and Maeve is offcourse also part of the book.
At page 910 I really considered stopping reading. Read through the chapter quickly afterwards and picked up reading after that, I did finish the book.
In all, a nice book, but could be reduced to half its size in pages. Next to that I don't get the imaginations Maeve imprinted in Aelins mind and are described. It only leads to haziness and brings nothing extra from my opinion. So I rate it a 4-.

Everything I needed in an SJM finale. Was it drawn out? Sure. Did I mostly guess what would happen? Of course. But I always pictured these books as if it was Game of Thrones and this didn't disappoint at all. I wanted a bit more punch at the end (iykyk) but overall enjoyed wrapping everything up and being in that world again.

I don’t really have any words. Kingdom of Ash emotionally destroyed me, multiple times - the best SJM yet by far! I wish it had been 2000 pages long instead of the 1000!!
