It doesn't have the same meticulous pacing and intoxicating world building of the first issue, but Jo still gives us a great view onto some deeper corners of The City Enduring as a drug epidemic reveals itself and some of the city councilors circle the investigation, their motives and Jo's ability to trust them put in question.
It's building up to be a good mystery, even if this issue doesn't bring quite the punch that the first one did.

Far Sector has been a really original take on the whole Green Lantern concept. I love the Green Lanterns, so obviously I was going to try this. To make it better, I adore N.K. Jeminsin, so this really was a win-win for me!
Far Sector #2 gave us a better idea of just how complicated this world is, and just how over her head out one Green Lantern is. Or maybe over her head is the wrong term. But there's no doubt that she's got an uphill battle ahead of her.
I loved this issue. It was brilliant and interesting, and the right balance of intensity. I'm really looking forward to the next issue (which comes out on Wednesday!), and with good reason.

More!
I love that we're getting more detail about the city and the other races. I also love that opening line: My murderer? Just got murdered. Catches us up and brings back the suspense of the 1st comic!

This is the best comic out right now. Everything about it is gorgeous. The writing style, the characters, the art (omg the art), the colors, down the perspective of some of the panels and the damned font. How Young Animal snagged Jemisin, I don't know, but good god I'm so glad they did. Please let Jemisin and Simone write all the things from now on.
