I liked this more than the first book in the series. This may be due to the fact that I have grown to like these characters, but I also think this was a more interesting mystery.

"How can anything go back to normal when Miss Brickett's is full of liars and con artists?" This is a second internal investigation at Miss Brickett's Detective Agency; I hope the agency has more external investigations we don't hear about or I wonder how they stay in business. Also, how do the brightest detectives not notice the spies in their midst? This story continues the community of misfits who support Marion in her investigations and continues the Harry Potter parallels - the chambers below the agency seemed even more expansive than the chamber of secrets!
