Originally I was looking for an intro poem for my storytime friend, Snowbie to read, but I didn't find a quick one to share. I liked the poem "Penguins' First Swim" because it is a counting down poem from ten to zero. I used that as a flannel with pictures of the ten different types of penguins. It went over well during storytime.

Now really, how many children's books do you see that are non-fiction AND poetry? That's what I thought. Also, there are lots of penguins!
