Alku lähti hitaasti käyntiin ja näkökulman vaihdellessa tuntui, että joutui aloittamaan alusta useamman kerran. Loppua kohden juoni tiivistyi mukavasti, mutta loppu itsessään ei jäänyt säväyttäväksi. Kaipaan aina sarjoilta sitä tunnetta, ettei malta odottaa kunnes saa seuraavan kirjan käsiinsä. Tässä sitä ei nyt päässyt syntymään.

This was the only book I could get through during a pretty bad reading slump. The writing was good and kept me hooked for the most part, but I felt a bit let down towards the end. Honestly, I think it would’ve been better if it were about 100 pages shorter.

I didn’t expect much from this. But the subtlety and nuance of it blew me away, and the warmth of it reminded me of The Expanse at its best. I’ll certainly continue the series. 4.5 stars.
