had this one on the list because I always see the authors content on insta. This was more of a memoir type read/listen than I was expecting it to be tbh. It is not in any way a “guide” or a “self help book”haha

was NOT expecting to hear in all that detail about the death of her dad etc.

Mainly it made me realize that 1- I don’t think I have a full on internal monologue??? and 2- I am apparently not as anxious as I think lmao

there were some funny bits, and the narrating of the book was fun with the different voices, but the advertising on this did NOT make it seem like it was a memoir type deal

I cannot imagine consuming this in any other form than as an audio book. Meandering, random, hilarious, and heartfelt, this was pretty much what I was expecting having seen Haley Morris' social posts. I love recollections of an imperfect life from an imperfect but well-intentioned person.

Funny and relateable, but of course pretty plotless and random. Very thrown off by the serious talk/topic of ALS included towards the end

I’ve laughed at so many of her videos, I knew I had to pre-order her book right away. It’s taken me a bit to get to it (the never ending TBR pile) but I’m so glad I finally did.

It’s funny (obviously), heartfelt, honest, and brave. Anyone who has ever dealt with intrusive thoughts will be able to relate to the constant interruptions of “Brain” and the concept that we are not our thoughts; we are so much more.
