Having read every Philippa Gregory book  written to date, (and thoroughly enjoying each) I grabbed this as soon as I saw it. Expecting the same engrossing narrative style, I was disappointed at the flat, categorical and narrow choices she made. I have great respect for the enormity of the undertaking, and greatly admire the research and thought that went into the project, but am underwhelmed at the result
