It's almost 5* beautifully written

Omg

So good, so sad, I have no other words…just read it, it’s a beautiful story and has an amazing ending. I usually hate bittersweet endings but I just loved this so much

This book. Ugh. So so so beautifully done. There is something about it that is so poetic and timeless. There is an ever present ache that hits you from the start and basically continues through the book. It will likely push you into ragged sobs by the end, but in the most beautiful (and yes, painful) way! Adored. This is one I will be thinking about for a longgggg time. It may be a 6 star…

Beautiful Love Story

I love how Lee and Hart fused the present with the past. The parallels between Tanner/Cole’s story and Tom/Charlie’s were done beautifully. It was spiritual without showing obvious magic in the works.

Heartbreaking but good

Wow this was such a beautiful story! It felt unique to me and I couldn’t put it down after I started it—I said one more chapter and suddenly I was 50% into the book…😅
This book really put me through it, I was laughing and smiling one minute and crying the next.

Tanner and Cole were perfection. Their connection just felt so pure and natural, I couldn’t get enough of their relationship. They were soulmates and literally destined to be together—I can’t be convinced otherwise!

The little background story with Tom and Charlie was so beautiful too but incredibly heartbreaking. It added a special and unique touch to the story! I do have to say I would not have the restraint to read the journal so slowly.

The ending connected both stories together so beautifully, my tears wouldn’t stop coming. Please read this book!!

Kismet

This story was such a sweet story. I really loved both Cole and Tanner. They both found each other at rock bottom. Tanner took a chance on Cole, which not many people would do. I enjoyed reading the evolution of their friendship and it growing into more. It was was kismet.

Tom and Charlie stole the show for me. Tom’s journal and his account of all him and Charlie went through to be together back in 1948 was absolutely beautiful and heartbreaking. I was a crying mess. It broke my heart to find out what happened to them. It really shows how much the world has changed when it comes to the LGBTQIA community.

I took a star off because while I enjoyed Tanner and Cole, things were repetitive at times. Like how many times do we have to read about them having lunch together and Tanner making sweet tea
