Who is this kid??? The constant refrain of this book. Solid misogyny and light racism moments from Marco, shout out to the 90s! Interesting implications for the team dynamics whether David stays or leaves, looking forward to the next two!

I’m being told “the David trilogy” is Animorphs at its finest. Off to a good start but the ending is more than just a cliffhanger, it literally feel like the book was chopped off at a certain word count and split into the next volume.

Pro: short and easy to read bite-sized chapters
Con: annoying narrator

(What’s the deal with David’s dad? Do we find out in the next two books?)

An interesting change in the usual Animorph series! I liked it!

Finally, THE DAVID TRILOGY!!

There's a new Animorph, and he might be a psychopath? Knowing how this ends, it's fun to catch the foreshadowing laid out for what happens. "Who cares how you win, as long as you win?" Rachel said.
