Even though it was published in 1985, I would file this one under the Terrifyingly Current Events heading.
I should not be a quarter into a book and there still is no goddamn inciting incident. I don't care if there's a big important message. If the story isn't good, then I'm not going to like it. It's the same with Fahrenheit 451. Why are all of these classic novels being hyped up when they're so bad?
