Sensitive topics but OH MY this book is INCREDIBLE.

- Ok, it’s not as bad as everyone is saying. Weird, little unhinged at parts but mostly boring. When it was time though, the smut.. was smuttin’! & H.D. was not lying CLIFF HANGER & now I need to read book 2.

DID NOT FINISH

Literally couldn't get myself to finish this slop, went in thinking it would be a sexy enemies to lovers chase me through the woods kind of book about a stalker to being thrown into a rape fantasy (not CNC RAPE) of someone who genuinely needs to get a therapist.

Love morally grey men. Still, sometimes I felt like Adeline was about to become another victim of “final girl theory”. Definitely good she learned self defense but girl has to work on self preservation skills.

No… just no.

I didn’t find any of the characters in this book to be likable and felt that the plot was over the top and dramatic. Most importantly, the main male character is a delusional hypocrite with a God complex. For a book described as a “romance,” dark romance or not, consent is kind of important and this book couldn’t have had less of it.
