Found two errors pretty early on that absolutely derailed me. 1) Friend complaining about the small town they're from b/c "it's an island"... while walking around NYC. Quite famously, MADE OF ISLANDS. 2) Male MC attributes his success to "hard work, graft, and determination"... pretty sure that was supposed to be "˜grit' and not "˜political corruption & fraud.'

I made it as far as Chapter 3. Literally couldn't discern between the three female friends. Other reviews did not inspire confidence that things would pick up.

I received an eArc from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Sleepless in Manhattan was a light, cute read, if a bit tropey and cliche.
In love with her sister's best friend, he's told to stay away from her and has commitment issues, she has health issues, afraid of enclosed spaces and then they get stuck in an elevator together... yeah yeah, I've read this book before. Many times. However, I did actually enjoy the characters behind it and the emphasis on friendship which is what will have me coming back for Eva and Frankie's stories. I did find the ending to be kind of abrupt and would have like just a little more follow up, but I suppose that's where books 2 and 3 will come in.

I don't typically read romance novels. Novels with romance is fine, but not the sexy sex kind. I chose this book from a list of books with cities in the title for a reading challenge I am part of, thinking it was more of a romantic book. It was not. There was lots of sexy sex, but it was still a really great story. I enjoyed the characters a lot, and thought the story was more relatable than some romance novels. I read this as an audiobook, which I don't recommend doing if you are listening in the shower with your kids walking in and out. It's naughty, but a fun read.

Ha sido una lectura entretenida pero pero se me ha hecho demasiado predecible y cuando ha terminado solo he sentido indiferencia. La autora escribe bien pero este libro no me ha dicho nada

i think the reason i loved this book so much was because it gave me the best nyc vibes which i LOVED! the two main characters both had a great background story which made the book a lot more enjoyable to read! the book focused on paige, who got let go from her dream job. she and her two best friends who were also let go decide to start their own event company. without going into much detail, paige’s brothers best friend jake, has a very well off company and has many connections in nyc. paige confessed her love to jake at a young age, but jake was left by his mother at a young age and struggled with romance and relationships. this book focuses mostly on paige and jake and their relationship and how they each grow individually!! i hope i didn’t give too much away, but the book was so cute and brought a big smile to my face!! there is a bit of spice closer to the end - but overall an amazing book

Soooo good on audio! Way steamier than I expected too ☺️ 🔥 Can’t wait to continue the series - definitely bingeworthy since it features event planners (fave subplot of mine) and amazing friendships.

this book was written in 2016 and reads like it’s 2010. The main focus of the book is app development and the main female characters concierge services. They have no phones, no social media, and it just doesn’t make a bunch of sense for a book where the main man is an app developer.
The female characters are cliche and not very deep. I don’t recommend but the story was semi sweet.

I judged this one by the cover and I'm so glad I did. It was so good and all the characters were so good. A nice and adorable summer read. I'm not really a fan of romance series that follows a different friend in each book but I have a feeling I will be getting my greedy hands on them all as soon as I can.
