It’s cute! I think it’s a really strong storyline, and such an imaginative world that even as an adult I could’ve sunk into. I think this really would’ve sparkled and shined as a longer book. Perhaps a short chapter book? I can also see this translating to a middle grade or you d adult novel. Commend the author and illustrator on the absolutely beautiful world they created. Encouraging this author to allow herself to try something longer, more sustained, rich with detail! She’s got a mind for some really whimsical tales that I think could really succeed with young readers.

This picture book is beyond adorable. I sort of miss the days when all the books I read contained easily-solved and not-that-terrifying problems. If there are young people in your life who might enjoy a little magic, I definitely recommend checking out this book.

This picture book is sweet and enchanting, with lots of great whimsical and real-life details bringing the story to life. This will appeal to kids who like mermaid books and fantasy, of course, and it's also a great book about friendship and problem-solving.
