despite not exactly being a fan of emily ratajkowski this book was interesting in the sense that it details points in her life, her experience and thoughts whilst starting out and making a name for herself in the modelling industry and the trajectory in which her career went. i will never understand the modelling industry so it is nice to have a little insight to the thoughts of someone in it.

Like many women, Emily has dozens of scary, strange, terrible experiences with men. Many of whom she felt she had to appeal to to have success. Many of whom felt totally entitled to her body. She unpacks a lot of complicated feelingd about her relationship with her own body, and other people's perceptions of it. It's relatable. It has no real conclusion. There's no one good answer for what we're supposed to feel about it. I like the way it ends, tied back to her son as an extension of her body.

I always feel a bit weird giving a review to memoirs cause who am I to judge someone depiction of their own story?
I did enjoy the writhing and I quite a few of the essays though. Maybe the period of life I am currently in doesn’t align itself well with the book however and I struggled to get through it, I think listening to it as an audiobook and it being narrated my Emily herself definitely helped at least. If you are going to read it I recommend going with the audio version!

I have no words. It was a stunning memoir. The only reason I dock half a star is because I occasionally struggled to follow the timeline of everything happening.
