Real and unreal worlds, mothers and daughters, spacetime and dynasty... What more could I ask for? Beautiful. Thank you for sharing this wonderful story and expressing something I didn't know could be put into words.

There was some content that happened to hit my personal trauma and I just couldn't continue.
If memory loss and being forgotten, doubting your existence, is disturbing to you, maybe pass on this book and try one of her others!

I find the setting and in-world technology so cool, but the short-format mystery is just never going to be my preference so my rating is extra-subjective.

So I find the Xuya universe fascinating and this is a very refreshing take on space opera/post-Earth humanity.  This was an interesting story but I do have to deduct a few points because while the overwhelming mystery about what happened to the Citadel of Weeping Pearls....it isn't really the climax.

The whole thing kinda never really lands as a climax.  It does derail the tension a little.
