I know I’m not the only person who feels like Brene wrote this book especially for me. I’m so thankful for the investment she makes into this topic, that of belonging and finding our place in the world. We feel so alone when we venture outside of expectations and obligation and popularity, that our natural instinct is to retreat back to the safety of our tribe. It is such a gift to own this book and be able to return again and again to the truths inside it: that true belonging comes from within us.
