So much better than Power, Politics and Pesky Poltergeists! I loved McGonagall's back story so much, it actually moved me to tears. And I loved reading about the Animagus-spell.
Lupin's story was sweet, too but didn't add quite as much new information as the one about Minerva.
The one about Trelawney and Kettleburn were fine but uneventful. I wish all the "stories" in these 3 collections were like the one about Minerva.

This book is a good edition to the Harry Potter universe, with some good background information on beloved characters, such as Lupin and McGonagall.

I only rated this book at three stars because it’s a very simple collection of short stories. There’s nothing spectacular or special about the writing. It’s more of just an informative look into the backstories of some characters that J.K. Rowling didn’t get a chance to go into in the main series.

This would be a great edition for any Harry Potter fan, but for a novice, it wouldn’t be as important to have.

It was great reading more about my favorite teachers from Hogwarts. :)

"...heroism comes in all shapes, sizes and varieties..."

"After all, you don't have to be a sword-wielding Gryffindor to be a hero; sometimes, all it takes is having your heart in the right place."

Great non fiction style writing. If you are looking for fiction stories this is not it

I really wanted to love it but it mostly felt like reading Wikipedia entries and we already know a lot of the information that is presented in the stories.
