I was hesitant to read this manga because I'm not interested in spies, but since this is a newer Shounen Jump series (and we've all established I'm Shounen Jump trash) so I decided to give it a try.

And holy FUCK, am I glad I did!

It's so hard to coherently discuss my thoughts because most of them are squeeing over Anya and wanting to love and protect her FOREVER, and the rest are squeeing over Yor's and Twilight's budding romance (I am 110% down for this ship, hi-ho shipping away!). After pondering about it for waaay longer than necessary, the conclusion that I drew was that it has the dense yet adorable romance of Kaguya-sama Love is War plus the strong family themes and fun yet flawed characters of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. I know that's a weird pairing but I swear that's what this reminded me of.

I think the reason why it's so hard for me to adequately put my thoughts together is because I've honestly never read a manga like this. Not that this is a super original concept (it's not) or that the characters are unique (they aren't), but I've never been into spy thriller series so this is relatively new territory for me. What I can say is that the interactions between Anya, Twilight, and Yor are incredibly fun and genuinely heartwarming and are easily the best parts of the manga. I think it's sweet and funny that Twilight pushes Yor and Anya to act like a "perfect family," but all three of them only act like that when they remove their masks and be themselves. I know that's so cheesy and cliche, but it really works here and it's so wonderful to see.

Okay, that's about all I can say so I'm gonna leave it at that. Basically, do I recommend this? Hell yeah! Is it gonna be for everyone? No, but I do think you should give it a shot. It's a truly delightful read.
