i remember really liking this when i was little. i enjoyed rereading this but oh boy this and book and indians (the book thats over a century old is a touch racist, guys).

reading this as a kid would've definitely made me so happy, this fr healed my inner child <3

every now and then I read a children's classic just to see if it lives up to its reputation. they don't always, but this one definitely does. utterly delightful throughout. It got a tiny bit weaker toward the end, hence four stars instead of five, but on the whole, highly recommended.

Well, maybe it's just because I happened to read this book at the same time as the whole Twilight series (that COMPLETLEY grabbed my attention) that I felt this one was boring. I'm excited to hear our book club discussion about it because I know my opinion is a little biased right now. It is a cute story that I think really proves the power attitude has in our lives. We all need to believe in some magic!

it was cute, i liked the descriptions of everything but i didn’t really like any of the characters besides the gardener. idk it didn’t really bring me a whole lot of joy

3.5 stars, it was cute and decent but i didnt learn shet

Delightful! I loved hearing about Dickon and his creatures. Loved the nature descriptions, especially of the moors.  Book got a little preachy at the end, and I'm not sure the message that all illness can be cured with happy thoughts ages very well.
