Stunning. I think Ocean Vuong did what he intended to do, he set out to do and immortalised those who live their quiet working class lives in gorgeous prose for they too live dignified lives and are worthy no matter how difficult their circumstances. What a sensitive soul he is. Sony is my fave character

DNF @ 29%. There’s nothing wrong with this book. The first several chapters I thought I would really love it. But when the restaurant part started, I just sort of lost interest. It’s due back in 3 days and I find myself not caring if I finish…so I’m calling it a DNF. Maybe one day I’ll come back to it
