I loved The Bone Season, I liked the Mime Order. I think this is getting back to the feel of the first novel. I am still invested enough to wonder about book 4.
i loved going to manchester and edinburgh in this book. i was so scared the whole time waiting for what was going to happen. the end of this book was actually terrifying. paige mahoney is literally only 19 and she’s gotta deal with all of this omg. i hate vance, i hate nashira, i hate jaxon (but yet again, his character is so interesting). i cried when paige and nick said goodbye how could this happen what am i gonna do without him. I’m absolutely obsessed with this series. need more arcturus mesarthim backstory asap.
