This mini novella series has to be my least favorite compiled work from Cassandra Clare to date. There were a couple stories that I absolutely fell in love with, but the majority of them were just okay, and one or two that I just couldn’t stand. I felt very alienated from the story, and couldn’t seem to get into the plot properly, and no matter how much I wanted to love these, I just had a really difficult time.
I'm not too keen on the books with separate stories as I don't tend to get as attached to the characters but I did really like the development of Jem's character as I went on and I love Cassandra Clare's writing - it makes anything engaging. Its also very good to read in intervals because you don't have to worry about cliffhangers.

I was gonna rate it four and then Cassie said “you know what would be better than one Jace? TWO!!” And I lost all hope. Love Kit and Anna tho they should keep up the good work.

I really enjoyed this collection of Shadowhunter novellas. I liked that Jem was featured throughout the stories and that we learned more about his life after Will's death. I also really liked the story about Jace's mom and the glimpse into what the Circle was like when it first started. My favorite story in this collection was "The Land I Lost" because it was about Magnus, Alec, and their children. It was adorable and I loved every minute.
I recommend reading this before reading Chain of Gold because it does give more insight into the lives of Matthew Fairchild and Anna Lightwood.

We all love a good Shadowhunter Novellas. I love The Shadowhunter Academy Novellas so I had high hope for this one and it exceed my expectations.
I think I cried too much reading all the stories.
We get a glimpse of everybody's life.
Most importantly, all the stories are interwtined together on telling the story of The Lost Herondale and it will definitely continue in The Wicked Powers.
I am excited for future series, especially The Last Hours. I can't wait to read more of Tessa and Will's children.

This was sad. Livvy came back as a ghost and she is definitely different. She is trying to get used to it you know. Not everyone can see her. I always love the sibling bond between Livvy and Ty and I hope we get more of that in the future series.
This is definitely a glimpse of future series. I need to know what happen to Kit and Ty.
"I would have done it for you. It isn't a thing that should be done, but I would have done it anyway. And so we would be in just the same mess we're in now. Besides, I think I'm getting the hang of this ghost thing."
