Good read- now I have the basis for the others. This will be a good go to author where I can settle in with the characters and have a good read.

Very fast read, crazy twists at the end!

Not the best opener to a series. I was expecting more background detail on Gabriel Allon, but Silva’s development of him is a bit flat. Also, Silva hones his writing style in later books. As a result, this book lacks the dramatic build up and suspense that he’s known for. I’d skip it.
fast-paced

This was an enjoyable thriller. I can see how Gabriel Allon has a lot of potential, so I'm looking forward to reading more books in this series.
