I don't know where to start!!! This one was a long time coming and I know I was SO excited for the finale, the final showdown.....

This one didn't disappoint, it was Erza and Ruby's turn in the spotlight. Would they bond? Would all be lost to Fairy if they didn't? Could they stop fighting long enough to see what everyone else has seen for years. Boy, did these two have a moutain to climb to get to their place where all was talked out and understood.

The showdown... It was everything! Help comes from an interesting source, we get to meet the 'Queen'.

Oh and warning, TWO Epilogues and they are both EVERYTHING!!!! I am so sad this series is over, but it just means more awesomeness coming from Lizzy in the form of other stories.

Must read, would rate more than 5 if I could!

Riot of Autumn - Wild Haven Series #4 - Review

Couple: Ezra & Ruby

Author: Lizzy Prince

Tropes: frenemy to lovers, PNR, save-the-world, shifter romance, childhood friends, magic/Fae romance

Review: The ending is HERE!! This was by far the best book in the series for me. While book 1 will be my top couple, the world building and battles in this book make it the best read!

Ezra and Ruby are childhood best friends who both love each other but are unaware why the other hates them. It is a case of miscommunication that has spanned years and became the norm for the friend group of Wild Haven.

In this book we finally get to learn what Ezra’s magic is and all the hints we got in the previous books were on POINT! I felt like once he accepted the parts of him that were tied to magic his emotions were better controlled and I also thought it explained why Ruby was irritating him so much.

Ruby is the MC in this book that made me love the conclusion. We learn so much about her in this book and it really opens your eyes to how much she suppressed her feelings for Ezra. I liked how she dealt with her powers and how much she supported Ezra with his shifts.

The book is full of snark and pranks between the two and I was happy that even when they gave into their feelings and talked about what happened between them as kids that their banter did not change. IT heats up about halfway through and we begin to see how the bonds pull them towards one another.

I was so happy that we got to see an HEA for everyone and loved how they rallied their community to ban the fae and the corrupted powers they had. Each couple played a huge role in the final book and it was nice to see how each of them helped this last couple navigate their feelings.

It is a bittersweet goodbye to this series!

Rating: 9/10, Ezra and Ruby are goals!
