Don’t get me wrong, I love a good Messakah romance, but I loved the break from that in this story! Learning more about the other alien races is interesting and I loved the epilogue with the children. I was missing that in this series, coming from the IPB series.

Listened in audiobook format, very long but very good! I liked that a new male species for the MC was included and talked about. Was fun to learn about something and someone new. Also the epilogues were a perfect, sweet ending.

I absolutely love Nassakth. He was so sweet and so clueless. It was a nice change of pace for the story to be about a praxiian. He was a mixture of arrogance and innocence that was so fun to watch. Kim was sweet too. I also really liked that the epilogues were decently long.

Cat aliens: nope.

I love Ruby Dixon and I don't always read the blurb before reading her books. So, imagine my surprise when this book's hero wasn't a blue-guy, but a cat-guy. And, while the characters were actually pretty adorable, I wasn't personally into the hero being a cat-guy. The rest of the story was cute though, plus a few interesting characters were introduced.

You mean to tell me this was written as a serial during lockdown?! WHAT. You really can't tell.
I love Ruby Dixon and I'm enjoying working through her back catalogue. It took me by surprise when I saw this was a full-length book as the previous books in the series are novellas. I'm glad I decided to continue though as what an absolute gem to read.
If you told me before starting the book I would find a Praxiian cute, I would have laughed. But didn't Nassakth just turn out to be the cutest cat alien there ever was?! I loved it. Nassakth and Kim 4eva <3
I really enjoyed looking at other alien cultures, don't worry I'm still big blue guys till I die, but it was fun, it was funny and I'm excited to read the next book in the series.

All I know is there better be a book with Bethiah as the MC 😬
