I was looking forward to this book. Second chance with older characters, yes please. Unfortunately, this was just an OK read to me.
The bumps in the road:
The characters didn't act their age. I never bought into them being older and wiser.
The writing didn't flow well to me. There were several times I had to reread a passage multiple times because I just didn't get what was being said.
But the part that really felt off to me were the random throwaway comments/thoughts referring to H's "dominance". They felt contrived and not truly part of his character. And the last one thrown in at the end? It read like a different author penned that passage. No. Just no. Not only does that type of character not ring my bell, but it didn't fit this narrative at all.
ARC provided, opinion is my own.

Must have Faith by Deborah Garland is the second book in her Darling Cove series. This book can be read as a stand-alone and does not need to be read in order.
Despite being left at the alter Greg has learnt how to move on with his life. And if he takes his pleasure with other women then so what? But as the only son in his family it is his obligation to produce an heir.
And then in walks his ex. That’s right the one that left him all those years ago. He knows he should stay away, that she can’t be any good for him now. And yet he still finds himself drawn to her.
And for her part Faith has her secrets. And they both have to try to overcome the betrayal. Which is always easier said than done.
I really enjoyed this story - the finding out what happened all those years ago and how they looked to overcome it. Greg and Faith were great characters who were easy to read about. The author had a flowing story and it kept pace well. A very good read.

All for Me
Forever Mine, Book 2
By: Deborah Garland
Narrated by: Auri Alden, Stephen Borne
Faith left the alter just as she was ready to marry the love of her life, Greg. Talked into having a one night stand to see what was out there just before the wedding convinced her she wasn't ready to settle down. Now five years have gone by and she is back home in Darling Cove, a television executive producer and staying with her parents. She clearly still has feelings for Greg, but her deceit hangs over her. Her father is in poor health, which aids in her hesitation to leave. Greg is still in the small town, dealing with his feelings the only way he knows how. When he sees Faith though, it is true that he is not over her. The two fall into a no strings relationship knowing Faith is going to leave, but will she be able to go? How will Greg let her go again? Will Faith be able to leave her family? Will she tell Greg of her indiscretion? There is a lot going on in this romance. Greg is a wonderful man. He is loving, attentive and understands what family is. Faith is a bit frustrating as he dives into her limited time relationship with Greg. It took me a while to wrap my head around the fact she didn't come clean right away! But it all adds to the build up of this fascinating story. I love small town and second chance romances and this pushed all the right buttons. It's a wonderful listen.
Auri Alden and Stephen Borne continue with the narration of this series. Alden is fantastic as Faith. She gives her that hesitation and undeniable urge to be with Greg. I could feel her conflict throughout the story and it made Faith realistic. Greg is a warm and compassionate person and when I heard Stephen Borne come in, it was just as I imagined. I love his rasp, the warm tones and the love in his voice. This team is perfect for the story and was very enjoyable.

Don't get me wrong, there was nothing wrong with this book, it just didn't hit the spot for me. Like the story in itself and everything was fine but I have read, in my opinion, better books and I will probably never reach for this book when I am in the mood to reread a romance novel.

All for Me by Deborah Garland is a second chance romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Auri Alden and Stephen Borne. This is the second book in the Forever Mine series.
This is the third book of Deborah’s that I have read, and it won’t be my last. I really enjoyed the relationship between Greg and Faith. It was messy but you couldn't help but root for them. I liked that we got both of their points of views throughout the book.
I can’t wait for the next book in the series Live For Me to be released on audio so I can get Edward and Skye's story.
Auri and Stephen did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you like second chance romances or contemporary romances.

I have always loved reading second chance stories, especially knowing that it’s an old love. A love that has never gone away. A love that can be discovered.
Must Have Faith by Deborah Garland gives the reader exactly that. This was such an intriguing story - to see a love that was thought to be lost, but is found once again.
Greg Mallory thought that all had been lost for him when he was left at the altar. He was left to wonder why his fiance had left him at the altar, without a warning. Unfortunately, he is smacked in the face with her once again after ten years. He has to figure his way back, without losing himself. Faith Copeland makes the decision to go back to Darling Cove, not knowing or being sure of what she was going to face.
I enjoyed diving into this book and watching the characters find their way. It was intriguing to see how even though the love never went away, they had find themselves and discover what kind of love it was without hurting the other. I have to say that I was impressed with the author and her writing style. I am definitely excited to continue my journey with this series, and to see where the author will take it. This was most definitely a 4 Star Book for me!
