This book was fantastic, and I read the entire thing in only a few hours. The overall premise of this book is so unique, and it was every entertaining throughout. The plot was action-packed and fast paced, but the characters didn’t suffer as a result. They were still well developed and I was able to connect with them even though it is not a very long book. The plot was unlike anything that I have ever read before, and I didn’t want to put it down. I loved Ally Condie’s Matched trilogy, and while this was not better than those (because I absolutely love them), it did not disappoint. The most interesting part for me was reading through Poe’s point of view, since she is so smart and it was cool to read through her engineer-centered mindset. The constant switching sides and determining who was lying and who was the real villain was very interesting. Overall, I really enjoyed this book!

I had forced myself to read Reached to read this book. I thought it was similar to Rouge One ( which is one my my favorite Star Wars movies ) so I enjoyed that part of the story. Also I loved the intrigue on who could be the spy. When I was almost done with the book I was very confused. People say they need to read Reached to read this book otherwise they might not understand all of it. When it got down to the last twenty pages I understood and freaked out at the same time.

This book, the companion to the Matched Trilogy, is a book that makes you feel every moment of Captain Poe’s life. Why she does what she does, and how those we lose are never really gone! It’s a beautiful story and one that I’ve re-read numerous times!

2.5 - I liked the worldbuilding, but none of the characters. Also, the YA 'every boy her age she meets she wonders if she loves hin' trope is. disgustingly rampant here.

I was really intrigued by the first few chapters of this one with the death of her lover and the revenge plot but then it kinda fell flat for me. There wasn’t enough world building and I was just bored by it.
