I ended up liking this book more than I thought I would initially. The concept of Cryptofauna is actually pretty cool, though I’m not sure I really get the game. There are plenty of quirky characters and some of the sayings in this book are gold! However, there is a lot animal abuse by one of the characters - I know he’s the villain and he’s obviously unhinged - but it seems unnecessary. 

I received a copy of this book for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.
