This book is better than the first one. It makes you eager to find out what happens next.

I enjoyed this book, there was definitely some tense moments throughout it. When the others stayed back at the store and Chloe woke up, I got annoyed with how she acted. Sure, she wanted to see her parents but they did the right thing keeping her there, even if they were going to make them sleep I think it was the right thing and she shouldn’t have screamed and all like she did. But Chloe’s always been a bit more annoying to me. But I loved the ending, how the kids got reunited like they did!

Ta Deanova část mi občas lezla pěkně na nervy a to tedy hlavně ve chvílích, kdy šlo o Astrid. Alexova část to naštěstí zachránila a jsem zvědavá, jak to celý dopadne.

Would have liked to have seen this wrapped up in this book - it was good, but pretty short. I'm not sure how she'll get another whole book out of what's left.

This book really grabbed me from the start. I'm glad I decided to stick with this series rather than give up after the mediocre beginning of the 1st book.

I like seeing the characters evolve. They were so young when stuck inside Greenway but have grown in maturity in this book. The plot also seems much more believable.

Not having read the first book, having exposition via "letter to whomever reads this because I'm dead" was an interesting way to catch up. Sadly, for me, the book went downhill from there. Apparently the author is an actress/playwright and that may explain why this felt less like a book and more like a potential tv series.

The "Monmument 14" (14 kids who find shelter in a grocery store following a nuclear accident) have split up, with most taking a school bus to what they hope will be safety at Denver International Airport and the rest staying at the store. As a result, the POV changes chapter by chapter. First we hear from Alex, on the bus, then we hear from his older brother Dean, at the store. Their adventures/misadventures, fears and hopes are all laid out for us, as well as what's going on with their companions. Will they reach shelter/be rescued in time? Stay tuned for the next episode...

Alucino. Me encantó. El suspenso es excelente. Cada capítulo es más infartante que el anterior.

Sometimes you want everything to end happily-ever-after. Mission accomplished. I liked this- the kids who are super annoying in the first book are still mostly super annoying. But there's resolution, and I appreciate that.
