I don’t exactly know how to rate books yet idk why but it’s probably not a 4 for me. I didn’t really like the ending, or the whole last half of the book to be honest it feels like it lost it’s way. The New York part was very good and entertaining. Really good tho it was a lot easier to read than what I expected. Super racist tho

This was an interesting read! slow paced and very reflective. i found it interesting to get what felt like a first hand recount of what life was like for a woman back then, and especially one that didn’t want to follow the norm

Maggie Gillenhal does an amazing performance of the book. The early reference to the baby makes the ending less abrupt.
