Did enjoy this book but found it a challenging read at times, felt there is no proper storyline and often found myself lost about what was going on. Read this as it was recommended for my University course (mental health nursing) and found it a valuable recount of what it is like living with a mental health condition. Overall the book was very interesting and knowing what happened to the author after publishing made this a very emotive read

I dont think i understood this book quite well… I believe if i had read it in less time id be able to immerse myself in it better, but since it took me such a long time to get through, i didnt pick up the real meaning of this book. I believe its an interesting book and youll have fun reading it, but from my experience its missing a point, or the point is not delivered clearly enough.

it is only sylvia plath, i think, who could make my bedridden state and tear stained eyes feel less alone, and shroud me in a cloud of darkness that reminds me i am not the only one who feels it. this novella made me feel even more hopeless and sad than i already do, and yet i take comfort in the fact that at one point in time, someone else has felt like this too.
