Multiple times I was very close to giving up on this but was easier to read once I was half way through. While I didn’t love it, I still cared enough about the story to see how it will end, and it made me reflect on my own family history and relationships. Cody was the most complicated character for me yet I understood him the most.

Overall - beautiful writing, it’s what kept me from giving up on the book. I’m glad I finished  it.
