The thing I love most about Eliza’s books is that they are realistic. The relationship is not perfect. The characters have flaws. There is no easy happily ever after. But it’s still very good writing and the story makes you happy.

~Whimpers~ That 'prologue' was a challenge of sorts. I was totally unprepared. But I'm very grateful nonetheless.

My my my, Cassidy stepped up pretty well! The learning curve was very steep but it didn't faze her. She's doing great as a detective now. Now let's hope she can get her hang-ups with Julia at least minimized so they can live the best life. Every time they are together (and she isn't spiralling with her insecurities) they're great. But one can't blame her, there's still quite a feel occasions that Julia's cryptical personality can lead one to doubt things but at the same time her character is just so no nonsense, Cassidy should take the majority of what comes from her at face value.

I loved it! That was another great reading. For me, it was the best yet on this series. You can see how much Cassidy (and even Julia) has grown, she's in a much better place than she was in book 1. Now let's see how they'll deal with the hardship coming next.

3.25 stars | I wish the focus of this book hadn't been the crime. I needed more Cassidy/Julia and it didn't satisfy that craving. Looking forward to the next book in the Don't Call Me Hero series. Still one of my favourite wlw series :)

I found most of this book very entertaining. But I found the ending rather disappointing. The book leaves us pondering the future, while leaving us unsatisfied about our favorite couple’s relationship.
